Adobe Early Renewal for partners
Major Upgrade
Partners can now renew Adobe VIP Marketplace subscriptions before the contract Anniversary Date to lock in current pricing. Early Renewal is available through Assisted Sales and API only; there is no customer self-serve (storefront) experience.
Early Renewal is available only within the last 30 days of the contract term.
Renewal paths
| Path | Behavior |
|---|---|
| New Quote | Creates the subscription immediately. The first invoice is pro-rated from the current date to the existing contract renewal date; subsequent invoices follow the standard billing cycle from the renewal date. |
| Update Subscription V2 | Creates a scheduled order that executes automatically on the contract renewal date. The scheduled order and execution date are visible to the partner. |
UI updates
In Assisted Sales:
- New Quote: Place an early renewal order that activates immediately.
- Update Subscription V2: Select Early Renewal to create a scheduled order.
❗ Important:
- Only the full subscription quantity can be renewed early; partial seat renewals are not supported.
- Cancelling a scheduled Early Renewal is not supported in this release (planned for an upcoming release).
- Before the scheduled early renewal executes, partners within Adobe’s 14-day revert period can cancel the scheduled order in the marketplace.
- After an early renewal is processed, marketplace returns are not permitted. If a return is still required after processing, the Adobe 14-day renewal return window applies to cancel the order on the Adobe side.
